At Centennial High School, MTSS is a framework that helps ensure all students receive the academic, behavioral, and wellness supports needed to be successful. Through prevention, early identification, and data-based decision making, MTSS helps schools provide the right support at the right time.

Core Components of MTSS

The Georgia MTSS framework is built on five essential components:

  • Teaming

  • Evaluation

  • Multi-Level Prevention

  • Data-Based Decision Making

  • Infrastructure

These components work together to support student success across academics, behavior, and wellbeing.

Tier 1: Universal Supports

Tier 1 serves as the foundation of MTSS and supports all students through:

·         High-quality instruction

·         Positive learning environments

·         Schoolwide expectations

·         Student engagement and support

·         Family and community partnerships

Tier 2: Targeted Supports

Students who need additional support may receive targeted interventions designed to address specific academic, behavioral, or wellness needs.

Tier 3: Intensive Supports

Students with significant needs may receive individualized support and ongoing progress monitoring through collaborative problem-solving and Student Support Team processes.

Family Partnerships

Families are critical partners in student success. We encourage families to stay engaged through regular communication, monitoring student progress, supporting attendance, and partnering with school staff when concerns arise.

Every Student. Every Classroom. Every Day. 💙💛
